Kelli Stevens’ G.I. Jane Challenge to #SaveTheBoobies

Kelli Stevens, Shawn Collins, Missy Ward During Affiliate Summit Pinnacle AwardsKelli Stevens from AffiliateFairPlay.com has issued a challenge on Revenews.com today… one that may make her lose her hair!

From her post on Revenews.com:

Here’s the deal. If Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back is able to collect at least $75,000 this year, I will do a G.I. Jane.

Everyone remembers Demi Moore in the movie, right? I’m not talking about the one arm push-ups either (like that would or could ever happen). I’m talking about the electric clippers coming out for the buzz cut (there is a picture of me to the left, on the far left, receiving a Pinnacle Award from Shawn Collins and Missy). Maybe I’ll even have them shave the cancer awareness ribbon on the back of my head (I’m totally not sure if the gal who cuts my hair does that kind of thing). All for only $2k more than what AMGB raised last year, so it’s a totally doable number.”

If AMGB is able to raise $100k this year, I will take out all the stops, and the clippers and the razor will come out. Yep, I mean all of it off. Bald.

For all of those in the industry that she’s reported on in the past or has just been a royal pain in the butt for, here’s your chance for a bit of payback. 🙂

Although, I don’t know if I want to see any one of my friends lose their locks, I support Kelli in her moment of craziness!

Please consider donating to the team at DonateToTeamAMGB.com and help us beat last year’s record!

@AffiliateSummit Donates $5,000 to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade

by Shawn Collins, Co-Founder of Affiliate Summit

The Race to Affiliate Summit West 2011, a dailymile challenge where Affiliate Summit committed to donate $1 to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade for each mile run, cycled, swam, or walked through the challenge, has ended.

There were 37 folks involved in the challenge, and the top ten runners tallied 1,865 miles.

Overall, there were 2,748 miles run, cycled, swam, or walked by all of the participants, so it came to a total of $2,748 to be donated by Affiliate Summit.

But since we like round numbers, we’ve decided to make it $5,000 to the the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.

I ended up at #11 right now (see my dailymile profile) with 98 miles. The next time I am cracking the top ten!

Here were the top ten fundraising affiliate marketing athletes at the conclusion of the challenge.

Congratulations to Michele, who had the most total miles at the end of the challenge. She will receive a Platinum pass to Affiliate Summit West 2011.

Affiliate Summit West 2011 is taking place January 9-11, 2011 at Wynn Las Vegas.

Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker is running a charity auction for one company to put their logo on his chest during Affiliate Summit West 2011.

Proceeds of this auction will benefit Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in the Rocky Mountains in June 2011.

Jeremy will wear the shirt of the winning bidder for all three days of Affiliate Summit, so this good karma opportunity comes with lots of exposure.

In addition to all of the in-person exposure, Jeremy will be in lots of photos and videos. Bid on eBay for the ShoeMoney auction.

He has run this sort of auction three times previously and raised over $30,000. Help your company AND help fight breast cancer!
