Jaz Pester

I’m a Senior Affiliate Manager with affiliate.com and have been with the company for nearly 6 years.

Outside of work I spend my time keeping up with my two little boys and walking my three dogs.

I know a number of cancer survivors, so I’m thrilled to be heading to Chicago this June to take part in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer as a part of the Affiliate Marketers Give Back team. I’m already hard at work, training for the event!

Melissa Salas

I’m the Director of Marketing for Buy.com & Co-Host Buy.com’s TV show, BuyTV. I joined Buy.com in 2000 & manage various online marketing campaigns as well as our Affiliate Program. Melissa Salas

Born and raised in Southern California, I attended Long Beach State University and graduated with a BA in Communications and minored in Interpersonal Communication and Business Organization. I live close to Laguna Beach & my hobbies include kickboxing, dance, going to live shows, concerts, traveling, days at the beach, watching/going to Angels, Lakers, Chargers and of course USC FOOTBALL games! You can say I’m a music & sports fanatic. Oh, & I have a cute little Maltese named Mr.Bentley.

I am walking in honor and celebration of my mom, Brenda Salas. She is now a 5 year survivor and thanks to all the charitable events that raise money for breast cancer research, we are able to diagnose and treat breast cancer in its early stages. This can happen to your mom, your sister, your daughter, even you. Someday I could be walking for myself. Early detection is key, and that’s why I walk.

Join the Team in the 2010 Chicago Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

It’s with great pleasure to announce that Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back is officially registered for the Chicago Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

We’re now ready to take on additional walkers.

If you are interested in walking with us, here is information that you should know before you make your decision to join the team.

We’re walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer so that women and men can get the medical care they need regardless of their ability to pay, and leading research teams can receive vital support in their ongoing search for a cure.

The 2010 Chicago Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is taking place on June 5-6.

This is a 2-day walk. We walk 26.2 miles on Saturday and 13.1 miles on Sunday. There are rest stops every couple of miles where you’ll be fed lots of yummy, healthy treats and lunch.

There is a $65.00 registration fee to join. However, I have a $20.00 off coupon (331101) which is good through February 28.

Avon requires each walker to raise a minimum of $1,800 in order to participate in the walk. (We can provide you with various fundraising suggestions to help you hit your goal.)

You have the choice of spending Saturday night in the Avon-provided tents on the campgrounds which is included in the cost of registration, or you can stay in the event hotel, which is the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. The Avon Walk Rate is $109 per night.

We typically do a Team dinner on the Friday night before the walk where you will be provided your team shirts and hats.

Once you register, you will be able to set up your personal fundraising page and you’ll have access to training guides that will help you get ready for the walk.
